What are You Made of? The Parable of the Potato, Egg and Coffee Bean

What are you made of…

then I read this parable a few years back and truly loved it. A don telling his daughter to be strong when times are ruffianly. Explaining to her that life can be hard and the circumstances can make you stronger or they can crush you, depending on your choices. so now I would like to contribution it with you ;

The parable of the Egg, Potato and Coffee Beans:

A daughter complained to her founder that her life was miserable and that she didn ’ t know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the clock. It seemed that just as one trouble was solved, another one soon followed.

Her founder, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each over a higher fuel. When the water system began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot, and ground coffee bean beans in the third base pot. He then let them boiling for a while without saying a password to his daughter .
The daughter moaned and waited impatiently, wondering what her father was doing. After twenty minutes he turned off the burners. He took the potatoes and eggs out of the pots, and placed them in different bowl, and poured the coffee into a cup. Turning to her he asked “ What do you see ? ” “ Potatoes, eggs and coffee bean, ” she cursorily replied. “ Look close, ” he said, “ and touch the potatoes. ” She did and noted that they were soft. He then asked her to take an egg and break it. After removing the shell she observed the hard-boiled egg. finally he asked her to sip the chocolate. Its rich aroma brought a smile to her face. “ Father, what does this think of ? ” she asked. He then explained that the potatoes, eggs and coffee beans had each faced the same adversity- boiling body of water. however, each one reacted differently .

The moral of the story…

The potato went in strong, hard and persistent, but in boiling water it become cushy and weak.
The egg was flimsy, with the thinly extinct shell protecting its fluid inside until it was put in the churn water. then the inside of the egg became hard .
however, the crunch coffee bean beans were unique. After being exposed in the boil water, they changed the water and created something modern .
“ Which are you ? ” he asked his daughter. When adversity knocks to your doorway, how do you respond ? Are you a potato, an egg or a chocolate bean ? ”

So my friends, which are you?

The Potato ? The egg ? Or the Coffee Beans ?

I would like to think I try to be the coffee beans… ( I know better than to think I do this all the clock time ) Some days I know we all may feel like we are going to be that potato and crumble under the pressure. We have credibly all been the testis a prison term or two besides. We become inure and try to protect ourselves from feeling hurt. Being the coffee beans, now that is the act of favorableness. Changing what ’ second around you into something raw and something better than it was ahead. Finding positivity in a site much makes it possible to do this. Remember you have the ability to change what ’ s around you .
