indeed I have to make this quick today because little Ms. Asher is bet on from Korea and she is already chatting my ear off about one, how bored she was there, and two, how much she missed me, and three, how much she LOVES Harry Potter. I ’ thousand telling you guys, I ’ ve created a fiddling Harry Potter monster, and I couldn ’ triiodothyronine be more pleased ! ???? Asher is now on winter break ( reasonably nice the way that worked out for her, 7 days off of educate and then 3 extras days for interruption ! ). Since her make up influence has long since been completed, she ’ mho got a batch of free time on her hands…yikes .
anyhow, little systeme international d’unites is presently sitting future to me ( in the very like seat ) play with the filters on my snapchat while she waits for me to finish this post…the blackmail is on .
Speaking of Korea though, my parents brought me back the coolest new dishes. YEAHHH ! I am so aroused ! unfortunately, you guys credibly will not be seeing them for a while, as I am presently stockpiling new props for cookbook photograph shoots. Oh the cookbook, agitate things are happening behind the scenes, but man it ’ second very starting to take over my life ! I ’ molarity presently writing and editing recipes like it ’ mho my subcontract .

Okay, but let ’ s spill the beans Banh Mi Pizza before Asher kills me. I know this pizza is a short different. I mean, for one, the eggs, two, there ’ s a lot of color happening on top for a pizza, but hear me out .
This pizza is LEGIT .
Have you always had a vietnamese Banh Mi sandwich ? If you haven ’ thymine, I highly recommend, no demand, that you change that ASAP. badly, a Banh Mi is possibly one of the most delectable sandwiches around. They are compiled of pork barrel, pickle veggies, piquant sauce and sometimes ( in my character all the time ) a fried egg. It sounds simple, but I promise it ’ randomness one cause of death sandwich, and you guys have got to try it… .
Or equitable try the pizza translation ! Both are equally delightful .

One of my favorite things to do with pizza is to top it with salad fixings once it comes out of the oven. I know, all you cheese pizza purists out there are eyeing me down right immediately, but it ’ s precisely what I like. So a Banh Mi Pizza was a no brainer for me .
I happen to have a batch of fresh Naan boodle sitting in the electric refrigerator therefore I decided to use it as pizza boodle. Well it turns out that using nan as pizza dough is THE BEST. You can obviously precisely use pizza dough, BUT I highly encourage you to give the nan a hear. It ’ s kind of amazing when made as a pizza. once I had my dough situation all worked out, I topped it with a little “ banh secret intelligence service ” sauce, added some fresh mozzarella cheese ( not traditional on a banh secret intelligence service, but a must for any pizza ), topped that with some vietnamese pork barrel meatballs and yes… eggs. Nothing better than eggs on a pizza guy .
Try it .
I then I tossed together a elementary salad fully of all the banh michigan classics : carrots, radishes, cucumbers, coriander, green onions and a short Thai basil. I besides made a hot sriracha “ mayonnaise ” out of tahini. I ’ megabyte personally not a huge fan of mayonnaise, so I like to come up with fun ingredients to replace the mayonnaise with. Tahini is my go-to and I will not lie, this tahini “ mayonnaise ” is EVERYTHING .

Ingredients

  • 1 batch nan
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1-2 tablespoons

    fish sauce I used 2

  • 1-2 tablespoons sriracha I used 2
  • juice of half a calcium oxide
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemongrass finely chopped
  • 1/2 pound flat coat pork or chicken
  • 1/3 cup each – fresh basil and coriander chopped
  • 8 ounces newly mozzarella shredded
  • 3-4 eggs optional

Veggie Toppings

  • 2 carrots shredded
  • 1 cucumber thinly sliced
  • 4 radishes thinly sliced
  • 2 greens onions, chopped
  • 1 red fresno chili or jalapeno seeded+ sliced
  • 1/3 cup fresh basil + coriander roughly chopped, total for both in concert
  • 2 teaspoons peanut or sesame oil
  • toasted sesame seeds for topping

Sriracha “Mayo”

  • 1/3 cup tahini * sesame sow paste
  • 1-2 tablespoons sriracha
  • juice of half a lime
  • water to thin the sauce

Instructions

  • Prepare your dough or nan and make surely it is quick and at room temperature .
  • In a belittled bowl, whisk together the soy sauce sauce, sesame anoint, honey, pisces sauce, sriracha, birdlime juice and lemongrass .
  • Season the pork with strategic arms limitation talks and pepper and then roll into 10-15 meatballs, invest each meatball on a tray as you work. Heat a large frying pan over medium heat and cook the meatballs until cooked through, about 5 minutes, turning them 2-3 times throughout cooking. Sriracha “Mayo”

  • In a bowl, whisk together the tahini, sriracha and birdlime juce. Add water until the sauce is fluid enough to drizzle over the pizza. taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Sauce will keep for at least 2 weeks in the electric refrigerator .

*Alternately you may use real mayo in place of the tahini.
