As a kid, we grew up eating lots of mandu, korean dumplings. My ma taught us how to make mandu at a young age and making a short ton of these were a tradition of ours every New Years Eve and New Years Day. Initially, I would just dip these in some soy sauce. then, as my palette started to become more define, I would mix in some vinegar. then, again, belated in life, I would add gochugaru, Korean hot pepper flakes.

My supporter Joe recently came to visit and he added pisces sauce and some sweet chili sauce and it was bright ! immediately, don ’ metric ton get me started on fish sauce. I ’ m a huge sports fan and you should be excessively. I know many people are turned off by it but it adds that certain umami spirit to all sorts of things like soups and stews and this dip sauce !
Grab the recipe below and make this ! This is besides great with roast vegetables and mix into some white rice. We hope you try it !
Making mandu from scratch takes a of time and let ’ s be honest, these days, I rarely have time to make my mandu homemade. In fact, New Years Eve is pretty much the only clock time I do. I ’ m then excited that I can find my favorite ready made mandu, Bibigo, at my local grocery store, on-line and pretty much everywhere. It ’ s plainly the best and then easy to make. We frequently enjoy Bibigo mandu for lunch, dinner or as a nosh. Look for them in the deep-freeze aisle at your local grocery store store. not only are they easy to make, but they make for a delightful meal to share with your family and friends !
