I grew up on Chicken and Dumplings, my ma used to make them all year rung when I was a kid and I absolutely fell in love with them. I mean how could you not !

WHAT INGREDIENTS DO YOU NEED?
- Chicken breasts
- Chicken broth
- flour
- salt
- Baking powder
- butter
- milk
- pepper
You guys…look at that list ! ! How much more elementary can you get with that ! These are things that we keep stocked 100 % of the time. I ’ m a huge sports fan of all things chicken so we have them in bulk in our deep-freeze .

HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS:
- In boastfully stockpot add your chicken breasts and chicken broth and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until chicken is cooked through .
- meanwhile in a medium sized bowl whisk together flour, salt and baking gunpowder until combined .
- Cut in your butter until incorporated and then stir in your milk until it forms a boodle .
- On a WELL flour surface turn your dough out and roll it out to about 1/4″ thickness and then using a tongue or a pizza cutter cut into 1 1/2″-2″ squares .
- once chicken is cooked remove from broth and shred and set digression .
- Add your dumplings to the broth and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until they are “ fudge ” and they don ’ t have a doughy relish .
- Add your chicken back into your broth and dumpling mix and season with salt and pepper to your like and heat until chicken is warmed through .
