rumor has it that the banana divide was created by David Strickler, who enjoyed inventing ice-cream sundae at Tassell Pharmacy ’ s sodium carbonate fountain in Latrobe, Pennsylvania in 1904 .
It was obviously a hit because the banana split is hush a VERY popular dessert nowadays. It is sold at internal-combustion engine cream shops all over and it is a favored dessert to make at home .
Traditional Banana Split Ingredients
To make a traditional banana split ice rink cream ice-cream sundae, you will need the pursuit ingredients .
- Banana- the star of the show!
- Ice cream- a scoop of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry
- Crushed pineapple or chopped fresh pineapple
- Chocolate syrup
- Strawberry sauce or chopped fresh strawberries
- Whipped cream
- Maraschino cherries
- Chopped peanuts

- Top each scoop of ice cream with a generous dollop of whipped cream and a maraschino cherry. Garnish with the chopped nuts and DIG IN!

- 1 scoop cocoa frost cream
- 1 soap strawberry ice rink cream
- 2 tablespoons pineapple sauce or diced fresh pineapple
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup or hot fudge
- 2 tablespoons strawberry sauce or diced fresh strawberries
- Whipped cream
- 3 maraschino cherries
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped peanuts or other nuts
Instructions
- Peel the banana and cut it in one-half lengthways. Place the banana slices against the sides of a long, shallow dish .
