How to make fillet mignon on the grillroom
We love steak, and the fillet mignon is one of my favorite cuts. For this cut, there are a set of ways you can cook it, but the samara is to not overcook the meat. Filets are a pretty list steak, and cooking them past average is a waste .
- Season the steak with salt, pepper, and optionally your favorite steak rub.
- Place the steak on a searing hot grill and cook for a few minutes a side, until the internal temperature reaches the desired “pull at” temp (see below).
- Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before cutting or serving.
If you ’ d quite not fire up the grill for this, our Blackstone Griddle is a big way to make a commodity steak ! Check out this recipe for a Wagyu Manhattan Filet from a little while binding .
